What is Inyova Grow and how does it work?

Inyova Grow has been on the market since April 2024 and adds a fixed-interest investment to Inyova Invest, Inyova’s equity offering. With Inyova Grow you buy bonds: you lend money to a project company, which pays you a fixed rate of interest in return and repays the amount at the end of the term. The money goes into individual sustainable projects, such as heat pumps and solar installations in Switzerland or battery storage in Germany.

At first glance, Inyova Grow resembles crowdinvesting, because many investors finance a project together. However, you don’t get a stake in a company, but a bond with a fixed interest rate and a fixed term. In addition, Inyova’s Investment Office reviews every project before it appears in the app.

Legally, Inyova Grow is based on an asset management agreement with Inyova AG. The projects are not a public offering: before each investment, Inyova checks whether a project fits your risk profile and investment goals, and only then invests.

Example: CHF 2'000 in an Inyova Grow project

This is how an Inyova Grow investment works, using the example of a project paying 7 % interest a year:

October 2026You invest CHF 2'000 in an Inyova Grow project with a 5-year term.
2027 to 2031CHF 70 interest every six months. After deducting the fee of CHF 9.50, CHF 60.50 net remains in your Inyova Grow account, i.e. CHF 121 a year.
October 2031The issuer repays the CHF 2'000 together with the last interest payment.
TotalCHF 605 net interest over 5 years, before tax.

The example assumes that the issuer makes all payments. If it gets into difficulty, interest and repayment may be lost in whole or in part (see risks).

Current Inyova Grow projects and interest rates

In October 2026, these projects are open for investment in the Inyova app, all in renewable energy. The table shows the annual interest before deducting the 0.95 % fee. The offering changes constantly: new projects are added, fully funded ones close. The volume per project is limited, and popular projects are often fully subscribed quickly.

Project in focus: enshift CHF Bond 2026/2031

The enshift CHF Bond 2026/2031 is the first Inyova Grow project from Switzerland. The enshift group, based in Baar, fits commercial, industrial and multi-family buildings with heat pumps, solar installations and battery storage, replacing fossil-fuel heating. It plans, finances, builds and operates the installations as a one-stop shop.

How sustainable is Inyova Grow?

Inyova Grow is one of the most direct ways to invest sustainably. Your money goes into a specific renewable energy project, such as a solar park or heat pumps that replace fossil-fuel heating.

What is impact investing?

Impact investing means investing money so that, alongside a return, it achieves a measurable positive effect on the environment or society. What matters is that this effect would not have occurred, or only later, without the investment. With Inyova Grow, the link is direct: the issuer uses investors’ money to finance specific installations. Before a project appears in the app, Inyova’s own impact team checks whether its effect can be backed by verifiable data. For each project, the Inyova app describes the exact positive impact.

Inyova Grow or a sustainable ETF?

Sustainable ETFs and Inyova Grow pursue a similar goal but work very differently:

Why are oil and gas companies in sustainable funds?

Many sustainable indices select the companies with the best sustainability ratings in each sector. This means an oil company can be included if it performs better than its competitors. According to an analysis by Goldman Sachs, around half of the funds marketed in the EU with sustainability features held at least one oil or gas company in 2023. For funds subject to the strictest EU requirements, this is much rarer. A study by rating agency Inrate on behalf of Greenpeace concluded in 2021 that sustainability funds direct hardly any more money into a sustainable economy than conventional funds.

Sustainable ETFs still have their place: they are broadly diversified, cheap and tradable every day. If you want your money to have a targeted effect, Inyova Grow brings you closer to the project, but in return you bear the risk of individual issuers and tie up your money until the end of the term.

Fees: what does Inyova Grow cost?

Inyova Grow costs 0.95 % a year on the invested capital. Inyova deducts the all-in fee directly from the interest. Uninvested money in your Inyova Grow account is free of charge.

What the fee includes

  • Account and custody at Saxo Bank (Switzerland) Ltd
  • all transaction, custody and currency costs
  • project review by Inyova (financials and impact)
  • reporting in the app and customer support
  • annual tax statement for your tax return

Worked example: CHF 10'000 in a Swiss franc project

AssumptionCHF 10'000, 7.5 % interest in CHF, 5-year term
Return before fees per year7.50 % = CHF 750
Fee per year0.95 % = CHF 95
Net return per year6.55 % = CHF 655
Net return over 5 years32.75 % = CHF 3'275 (before tax)

Is Inyova Grow safe? An overview of the risks

Inyova Grow is not a bank deposit but a high-risk investment. The fixed interest is only as safe as the project company that pays it. So only invest money you could afford to lose in the worst case.

The risks at a glance

RiskWhat it means for youHow to limit it
Issuer defaultIf a project company gets into difficulty, interest and capital can be lost in whole or in part.Spread across several projects and invest only a small part of your assets.
Money tied upThere is no secondary market. As a rule, you cannot sell before the end of the term.Only invest money you won’t need before repayment.
Currency riskFor projects in foreign currency, the value in Swiss francs fluctuates with the exchange rate.Choose projects in CHF.
Concentration riskAll projects are in renewable energy and depend on electricity prices and subsidies.Combine Inyova Grow with other investments.
Project risksConstruction, regulation or technology can reduce the issuer’s income.Read the «Risks» tab in the app and compare projects.
Inyova insolvencyThe bonds are held in your custody account at Saxo Bank (Switzerland) Ltd and are not part of the bankruptcy estate. No extra effort. Cash in the account is protected up to CHF 100'000 by esisuisse.

How does Inyova review the projects?

Before Inyova accepts it, every project goes through a two-stage review that usually takes several weeks. Only projects that pass both stages make it into the app.

  1. Financial review by the Investment Office: first, the team checks whether the sector is viable in the long term and whether the interest adequately compensates for the risk. This is followed by an in-depth analysis of the business model, financial ratios, capital structure, repayment terms and investor protection.
  2. Impact review by a dedicated team: it assesses what the project contributes to the environment and society and whether its effect can be backed by verifiable data.

A project is rejected, for example, if the sector is not stable enough, the management is not convincing, the interest does not sufficiently compensate for the risk or the company is not yet mature enough.

The project partners have different levels of experience. SUNfarming has been building solar parks for over 20 years, and AustriaEnergy has been developing wind and solar parks since 2006. enshift and Renergo are younger.

The review is a filter, not a guarantee. You decide for yourself whether a project suits your assets.

What happens if a project defaults?

The bonds are issued by individual, often smaller project companies and are usually unsecured. One exception is the AustriaEnergy Chile Green Bond, which is secured according to the app. If an issuer defaults, interest may not be paid and, in the worst case, the entire amount may be lost. According to Inyova, there were no project defaults or late payments up to October 2026. However, Inyova Grow has only existed since April 2024, so the track record is still short.

What happens if Inyova goes bankrupt?

According to Inyova, the bonds are held in your own account at Saxo Bank (Switzerland) Ltd. Securities in custody are segregated assets and do not become part of the bankruptcy estate if Inyova or the bank goes bankrupt. Cash in the account is protected up to CHF 100'000 by the esisuisse deposit protection scheme. This does not affect the risk of the individual projects.

Project risks: the example of enshift

For each project, Inyova lists the specific risks in the app. For the enshift CHF Bond 2026/2031, these include:

  • Construction and procurement risk: part of the money goes into projects that are still being planned or built. Delays, higher costs or supply shortages of solar modules and heat pumps can reduce income.
  • Market and regulatory risk: the business depends on rules on replacing heating systems, subsidy programmes for heat pumps, rules for self-consumption communities (ZEV, vZEV) and electricity and heating prices.
  • IT and operational risk: enshift plans and controls the installations using its own software. Outages, data loss or cyberattacks can disrupt operations.
  • Issuer risk: if enshift green energy 2 AG gets into difficulty, interest and capital can be lost in whole or in part.

Inyova: who is behind Inyova Grow?

Inyova Grow is run by Inyova AG, based at Limmatstrasse 123 in Zurich. The fintech was founded in 2017 under the name Yova and has been called Inyova since 2021. It offers impact investing: an equity portfolio with Inyova Invest, a pension solution with Inyova’s pillar 3a and interest-bearing investments in projects with Inyova Grow. Inyova is an asset manager: it invests its clients’ money under a contract and needs a licence from the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA to do so, which it received in 2024. Inyova is on FINMA’s list of authorised asset managers and is supervised on an ongoing basis by the supervisory organisation OSFINcontrol AG.

Since 2024, the Basel pension fund Abendrot has held around 10 % of Inyova. Inyova itself is not a bank: its clients’ accounts and custody accounts are held by Saxo Bank (Switzerland) Ltd. According to Inyova, more than 2'000 investors have put over CHF 30 million into Inyova Grow projects. In 2026 alone, more than CHF 1.2 million in interest has been paid out so far (as of October 2026).

Who is Inyova Grow suitable for?

Inyova Grow suits investors who want to invest part of their assets directly and at a fixed rate in sustainable projects rather than in shares or funds, and who don’t need the money before the end of the term. Inyova Grow is not suitable for an emergency fund or short-term goals.

How to invest in Inyova Grow projects

You use Inyova Grow in the Inyova app for iOS and Android. Unlike Inyova Invest or Inyova’s pillar 3a, there is no web version for it. In the app stores, the app is called «Inyova Impact Investing».

Choosing projects

Under «Green projects», the app shows all projects with interest rate, term and status, which you can filter by «New», «Investable» or «Active». The detail page shows a project’s key figures at a glance: interest rate, interest payments, term, minimum investment and currency. Further down are the deadline, total amount, investment type, sector, location and issuer, plus the «Details», «Risks», «Opportunities» and «Impact» tabs. With «Select project», you add a project to your selection.

Under «Expected cash flow», you see the expected coupon payments (interest), principal repayments and Inyova fees, either for the next five quarters or the next five years.

Inyova Grow and taxes

In Switzerland, interest from Inyova Grow is taxable as income, and the value of the bonds counts as wealth. At the start of each year, Inyova provides you with a tax statement that you can attach to your tax return or upload to your canton’s online tax return. The tax statement is included in the 0.95 % fee.

For issuers based in Switzerland, such as enshift green energy 2 AG, 35 % withholding tax is usually deducted from the interest, which you reclaim through your tax return. For issuers abroad, there is no Swiss withholding tax, but foreign withholding tax may apply. For projects in foreign currency, interest and asset value are converted into Swiss francs for the tax return.

Verdict: our Inyova Grow review

As of October 2026, Inyova Grow is one of the few ways in Switzerland to invest directly and at a fixed rate in individual renewable energy projects, usually from just CHF 1'000. Depending on the project, around 4 to 7 % interest a year usually remains after fees, much more than on a savings account. In return, you bear the risk of individual, mostly small issuers, can’t sell before repayment and have a currency risk with projects in foreign currency. In our own test, the account and the first deposit were each ready after one business day, and the app guides you clearly through account opening and investing. Inyova Grow makes sense as a small, deliberately chosen part of your assets, not as a replacement for a savings account or a broadly diversified ETF portfolio.

Frequently asked questions about Inyova Grow

Reputable, yes. As safe as a savings account, no. Inyova Grow is offered by Inyova AG in Zurich, an asset manager regulated by FINMA. The account and custody account are held by Saxo Bank (Switzerland) Ltd. According to Inyova, there were no project defaults up to October 2026. Nevertheless, Inyova Grow is a high-risk investment, and a total loss is possible.

For a small part of your assets, Inyova Grow can be worth it if you don’t need the money before the end of the term. After fees, around 5 to 7 % interest a year currently remains, and you directly finance renewable energy projects. In return, you bear the risk of individual issuers. Inyova Grow is not suitable for an emergency fund.

Usually 5 to 8 % a year before fees, depending on the project. As of 22.10.2026, the current Inyova Grow projects offer 6 to 8 %. After deducting the 0.95 % fee, 5.05 to 7.05 % remains. Depending on the project, interest is paid half-yearly or yearly. The maximum rate of 8 % is offered by the AustriaEnergy Chile Green Bond in euros.

The minimum investment varies by project, usually CHF 1'000 or, for projects in euros, EUR 1'000. If you want to spread across several projects, you need correspondingly more, for example CHF 3'000 for three projects.

As a rule, no. There is no secondary market for Inyova Grow bonds, and according to Inyova, selling before the end of the term is usually not possible. The term is usually 2 to 5 years, depending on the project.

Opening an account is done completely online and takes around 20 minutes up to the signed contracts. Saxo Bank then opens the account, according to Inyova within 2 to 5 working days. In Evaluno’s test, the account was ready after just one business day, and the first deposit was visible in the app after another business day.

Interest is taxable as income and the value of the bonds as wealth. Inyova provides a tax statement for your tax return every year. For issuers based in Switzerland, such as enshift, 35 % withholding tax is usually deducted, which you can reclaim. For foreign issuers, withholding tax may apply.

With Inyova Grow, you invest directly, usually from CHF 1'000, in individual renewable energy projects such as heat pumps, solar installations or battery storage, and receive a fixed interest rate over a fixed term in return. You can see which project your money finances. As with any direct investment, you bear the risk of the individual issuer.

Not in the classic sense. Here, too, many investors finance a project together. With Inyova Grow, however, you buy bonds with a fixed interest rate and a fixed term, not a stake in a company. Inyova’s Investment Office reviews every project in advance, and the bonds are held in custody at Saxo Bank (Switzerland) Ltd.

Yes. With the code EVALUNOGROW you get CHF 200 cashback when you invest at least CHF 2'000 in Inyova Grow projects. The offer is valid until 31.12.2026 and can be combined with offers on individual projects. You’ll find all the details on the Inyova Grow promo code page.
