Methodology: how Evaluno compares

Transparency is the foundation of every good comparison. On this page we explain where the data in our comparisons comes from, how the ranking is created, who checks the content and how Evaluno is funded.

Where does the data come from?

All data comes from providers’ websites, product documents (price and fee schedules, factsheets, interest rate overviews) and direct information from the providers. We enter it into our database in a structured way and check it editorially.

Interest rates, fees and conditions change constantly. We update our database regularly. Every Evaluno comparison page shows the date of its last update. Despite careful maintenance, conditions can change at short notice; the provider’s current information is always authoritative.

How is the order in the comparisons determined?

Each comparison is sorted by one criterion by default, for example by interest rate in descending order or by fees in ascending order. Providers have no influence on the order. You can change the sorting at any time and filter the list by various criteria.
No provider can buy a better position in the comparison. Evaluno works with attractive providers to give users access to special offers. These offers are always marked as such.

Do providers pay to be included in the comparisons?

No. Paid placements do not exist at Evaluno as a matter of principle. That fundamentally sets Evaluno apart from the large Swiss comparison platforms. Many existing comparisons there only show the providers that pay a so-called listing fee. Evaluno is different: for each comparison, Evaluno shows all relevant providers and their products, so you have a complete and undistorted basis for your decision.

How does Evaluno make money?

Evaluno is free for you. Evaluno is funded through advertising (native ads) and affiliate offers (partner codes and links). If you open an account or product via one of the codes or links on the Evaluno site, Evaluno receives a commission from some providers.

Three firm rules apply:

  • The commission has no influence on the ranking, rating or presentation of an offer.
  • Providers we have no partnership with are listed in the comparison as well.
  • The comparisons and the detailed offers are presented separately. The data remains the same for all providers.

Who checks the content?

The content on Evaluno is created and checked by our editorial team. On the guide and comparison pages we state who wrote the content and who reviewed it.

Found a mistake?

Despite careful checking, mistakes can happen. Report any inconsistencies to us via the contact page. Our team is happy to look into every report and corrects errors promptly.
